Visiting Pilots Information

Useful info you need to fly and enjoy your stay in our beautiful area. Accommodation, transport, contact details, site info, best times to fly, weather...

Welcome to the beautiful Sunshine Coast!

We have 25 flying sites in the Sunshine Coast area, making it possible to fly nearly every day. The map shows the area where our sites are located. They are from Caloundra in the south to Noosa in the north and west on the Blackall Mountain Range around Mapleton, Montville and Maleny. There is a great variety of sites to choose from for all levels and styles of flying.

The Blackall Mountain Range and Conondale Valley sites offer fantastic inland flying with great cross country potential. On the coast, you can experience the magic of sharing the air with the local sea eagles. Soar high together over rocky headlands and cliffs, they may even teach you something about flying or even fishing, the eagle's way! You can cruise over beach front resorts and million dollar homes or fly for kilometres over deserted beaches. Using the dunes for awesome lift, you can get up high over the water and carve it up for some extreme fun or fly low and fast, playing in the forgiving sand.

A highlight is the once in a lifetime experience of watching the whales play during their migration along the coast, whilst you soar silently over head.
